For Your Children

All the doctors and nurses a KFP have a special interest in paediatric care. We believe in the importance of childhood immunisation and encourage all children to complete the recommended schedule, but we respect your right to choose against immunisation if you are a conscientious objector. All our immunisation appointments include a comprehensive well-child check, so that your nurse and GP can review your child’s health, growth and development. If you object to immunisation, we still encourage you to bring your child along at the same intervals for a well-child developmental check.

Sick children are given a high priority at our practice and we will always try to assist on-the-day if their health need is urgent. If you believe that your child may be infectious we ask that you keep them away from other children in the waiting room and bring along a toy or activity from home. Our waiting room has a dedicated child area where children can read or colour-in with your supervision. We encourage children to display their works of art on the wall and each month we select a winning picture to receive a $10 book voucher.
